There are an incredible assortment of outdoor eateries in Plymouth - which draw in tourists and South Shore locals alike. Rye Tavern boasts outdoor heated igloo eating in winter months while downtown restaurants like East Bay Grille offer incredible waterfront dining.
A large sandbar just off of Long Beach, Brown's Bank is one of our favorite destinations, only accessible by boat. It boasts stunning sandy shores, gentle waves, mildly warm waters, with the joys of fishing and swimming.
We would be remiss not to highlight all of the incredible historical landmarks that Plymouth MA is renouned for nationwide - incuding Plimoth Plantation and the Mayflower II replica, which is harbored downtown during summer months. Town residents benefit from discounted admissions year long!
This experiene is one that never fatigues! The ritual of catching a ride aboard a Captain John boat for the chance to see an array of whale species such as humpback whales, finback whales, pilot whales or even the endangered right whales. These excurisions depart from Town Wharf in Plymouth.
Plymouth is home to a number of summer camps - including Camp Bourndale and Camp Clark. Many of us at ALANTE have children who have greatly benefited from these well-known establishments over the years.
Plymouth has a handful of standout breweries in town - including Second Wind Brewing Company, Untold Brewing, and Mayflower Brewing Company. Enjoy a pint year-round or, during summer months, one of our favorite activities is to visit the Mayflower Beer Garden at the Pinehills.
This park was created during the early 1920’s and is comprised of 2.9 acres - making it an incredible walk to take in views of downtown. We love seeing alewife herring swimming upstream in the spring.
